If you are responsible for utilities in your lease agreement, don't forget to activate your utilities before your possession date
In Alberta, utilities have been deregulated and you have your choice of providers and variable vs fixed rates. You can look at all the options at the Utilities Consumer Advocate Website but it does become quite confusing. Our recommendation is to simply sign onto the regulated service providers in Edmonton with a variable rate but it is ultimately your choice.
